The central government has announced the release of a new version of PAN card PAN 2.0 but you do not have to do anything for this. The government itself will send the new updated PAN card directly to your address. So be careful: do not respond to any phone, message or mail for PAN card update, nor give any information or OTP. No means no. Be careful, avoid cyber fraud.

The government has announced the PAN 2.0 project. At the time of the announcement, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the upgrade of PAN includes adding a QR code. This will be rolled out free of cost to all taxpayers.
